Terms of Service (Guiding Light ABA)

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing Guiding Light ABA (the "Site") or scheduling services with Guiding Light ABA ("Guiding Light," "we," "our," or "us"), you ("you" or "User") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2. Changes to the Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes become effective when posted with a "Last updated" date. Your continued use constitutes acceptance.

3. Who May Use the Site

The Site is intended for individuals 18 years or older. Parents or legal guardians may use the Site on behalf of a minor.

4. Services and Informational Disclaimer

• Informational Purposes Only – Content on the Site (blogs, articles, PDFs, etc.) is not medical or legal advice and does not create a provider–patient relationship.
• No Emergency Services – Call 911 or your local emergency number if you believe anyone is at risk of harm.
• Licensing & Availability – ABA therapy is currently offered only in California by board‑certified clinicians licensed or credentialed as required.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current information;
• Maintain the confidentiality of any login credentials;
• Use the Site only for lawful purposes;
• Not upload malicious code, infringe intellectual property, or violate others' rights.

6. Payment & Cancellation

• Payment Terms – Invoices are due as stated in your client agreement. We accept major credit cards, ACH, and qualifying insurance assignments.
• Cancellation/Rescheduling – Please give at least 24 hours' notice; sessions cancelled late may be billed.

7. Intellectual Property

All Site content, trademarks, and logos are property of Guiding Light or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute content without written permission.

8. Feedback License

If you send ideas or suggestions, you grant Guiding Light a perpetual, royalty‑free license to use them without restriction or attribution.

9. Third‑Party Links

We are not responsible for third‑party websites or resources linked from our Site.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE AND CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

11. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT WILL GUIDING LIGHT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Guiding Light from any claims arising out of your use of the Site or violation of these Terms.

13. Governing Law & Arbitration

These Terms are governed by California law. Binding arbitration (administered by JAMS, venue in Los Angeles County) is the sole method of dispute resolution, and class actions are waived.

14. Miscellaneous

If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Guiding Light.
